Chloe Thompson is a strategist with expertise in helping retailers & brands tackle difficult problems – particularly at the intersection of creative and business enterprise needs. She has deep industry experience, with a focus on cross-functional strategic projects, strategic planning, critical analysis and evaluation, organizational change, and executive/board management.
Currently, she is Vice President of Strategy and Chief of Staff to the CEO at Victoria’s Secret & Co., owning the strategic vision and planning for the Victoria’s Secret & PINK brands, including the Path to Potential. She owns business updates for the Board of Directors, drives ad hoc strategic projects and supports the CEO on all key projects and strategic execution.
Prior to VS&Co, she was Senior Vice President of Strategy at Bombas, a mission-driven apparel company. In this role, she served on the Executive Team and owns Bombas’ strategic planning function, driving initiatives to both improve the current business and capture incremental opportunities for Bombas.
From 2016 – 2018, Thompson was Director of Corporate Strategy & Business Development at Urban Outfitters, Inc. (URBN), where she served as a senior advisor to the executive team and was responsible for developing cross-brand strategic initiatives, executing business critical brand-specific projects, and managing M&A deals. She also served as North America lead on URBN‘s international expansion into partnered markets, including the closing of Urban Outfitters’ first-ever franchise agreement.
She has held roles in both Strategy and Sales for Stitch Fix, Bespoke Post, Cole Haan, American Express, Alice + Olivia and TOMS Shoes and has worked on consulting projects for J. Crew, TJ Maxx and several startups.
She serves as a strategic advisor to fine jewelry start-up Stone & Strand and to City Relief, a non-profit serving those experiencing homelessness.
She has an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Brown University and an MBA from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.
She lives in Brooklyn.
